White Wine

2009 Darby Marsanne
Boushey Vineyard Yakima Valley

“In my opinion, this is the best vineyard in the state for Rhône varietals. This Marsanne is intense with amazing texture and flavors of white peach, orange peel and a strong mineral component. We fermented this wine in French Oak barrels for 18 days. I feel this could be my best white wine! 72 cases produced.” -Winemaker notes.  Limited.

$27.99/$23.39/$21.05

2009 Long Shadows Poet’s Leap Riesling Columbia Valley

“Fresh, clean and crisp, the 2009 Poet’s Leap offers generous aromas of fresh citrus, star fruit, kumquat and flint with flavors of ripe melon and white peach that dance on the palate. This is a lively Riesling with just a hint of sweetness, wonderfully balanced by its natural acidity and a clean, racy finish.” Winery notes

2009 Trust Riesling Columbia Valley

“Minerality is prominent on the nose, with background notes of peach and grapefruit. The palate brings a lovely combination of rock, citrus peel, white peach and mint. This is medium-bodied, palate-coating Riesling that conveys richness and only the faintest whisper of sweetness. The acids shine, keeping things bright and refreshing, and the lingering finish is all about the rocks.” –Winemaker notes

$17.99/$14.99/$13.49

2009 Illahe Estate Gruner Veltliner Willamette Valley

Quite floral! It shows Pink Lady apple, yellow peach and lime, with tangerine blossoms and hints of vanilla and      effervescence. It doesn’t show the   minerality of a great Austrian Gruner, but rather has a lightly creamy body that actually works well and makes the wine quite approachable. Pair with grillables, such as skewered veggies and shrimp.

$17.99/$14.69/$13.22

2009 Grey’s Peak
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

This wine is a wonderful example of why Sauvignon Blanc is considered an
aromatic white wine. The nose has lovely floral notes grounded by just-picked
gooseberries and green peas.  This is
supported by classic Grey’s Peak
minerality on the palate, almost a tingling chalkiness and a lovely linear length
and finish.

$18.99/$13.99/$12.59

2009 Pomelo Sauvignon Blanc California

"A lip-smacking, vivid style, with passion fruit, lime zest and green papaya notes that are fragrant, crisp and clear. Light-bodied, with a touch of fresh grass and herb, which give this more personality. Drink now.  Best Value."  -Wine Spectator, 87 points

$16.99/$9.79/$8.81

2009 Salneval Albariño Rias Baixas Por

Spicy pear and floral honey on the nose. Open-knit orchard fruit flavors are a tad hard-edged, picking up a dry citrus pith note with air. Finishes with good juicy persistence and a hint of white pepper. This is the absolute best value in Albariño.

$11.99/$9.39/$8.45

2009 Finca el Reposa St. Jeannet Argentina

St. Jeannet is a zesty and vibrant ancient Greek varietal which had been planted in Europe before this tiny parcel (probably the only one left in the world) ended up in Argentina. This rare bottling comes from vines planted in 1912! This wine yields aromas of pear, mango and lemon zest. In the mouth sweet honeydew plays with crisp, bracing acidity and back palate notes of pineapple.

$12.99/$9.39/$8.45

2009 Rex Goliath Chardonnay California

The Rex Goliath Chardonnay is fresh and lively with supple tropical fruit;  a true expression of cool-coastal-climate Chardonnay. Abundant, ripe, tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and melon are coupled with well-integrated layers of creamy lemon curd and hints of vanilla
